About The Event

QTPOCC is organized to focus on people of color who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. People of all sexualities and gender identities are welcome to attend. The conference is focused on people on college campuses (students, staff, and faculty). Attendees will learn to struggle against racism and prejudices prevalent in the Queer community. We are committed to activism- we are committed to recognizing the intersections of our identities as well as the various intersections of social justice movements. We ensure inclusiveness by creating space for Queers of Color: socially, politically, culturally and environmentally.

The QTPOC Conference includes workshops and speakers Jade Phoenix Martinez and Bamby Salcedo on Saturday and requires registration to attend. Friday's Opening is free and open to all, and the speaker will be announced soon. The QTPOC Conference is brought to you by the student QTPOCC Committee, Chicano Student Programs, and the LGBT Resource Center. Learn more about the history of the conference here.
