About The Event

Black and Trans Women have been the heart of the liberation movement. They have also been the heart of supporting and resourcing future generations. We stand on their shoulders. As part of the Youth Mentoring Action Network's celebration of Black Women's History Month in April, we are bringing together a group of dynamic and change-making Black Trans Women to talk about their work and their freedom dreams for the future of youth work, particularly when it comes to prioritizing LGBTQ+ youth and Black Transgender youth.

Panelists participants are:

Mickaela “Micky” B Senior National Organizer of the Transgender Law Center

Ianne Fields Stewart Founder of The Okra Project

Dominique Morgan Executive Director of Black and Pink

Ebony Ava Harper Director of California TRANScends

Blossom C. Brown an Actress, Producer, and Activist

Moderated by: Shar Jossell who is a Media Personality, Journalist and Writer
