YMAN is Route to Parks Grantee

The Youth Mentoring Action Network earned a $20,000 grant from Parks California to help Inland Empire youth #optoutside. The Parks California grant initiative aimed to improve park access for all Californians so they can create authentic connections with nature.

The funding will support YMAN's Wellness Collaborative which provides community-level health and wellness services to youth without bureaucracy. We partner with a community garden, community boxing gym, youth advocacy organization, and two local therapists to provide healthy foods, free gym memberships, and tele-therapy to youth in our community.

Now we will be taking youth outside to enjoy hiking, and other group activities in our local state parks. We are excited to build alongside young people as we all learn to build healthier lives.
